To help tackle the global antimicrobial resistance crisis the European Network for Optimization of Veterinary Antimicrobial Treatment (COST Action CA18217) aims to optimise veterinary antimicrobial use with special emphasis on the development of animal- and disease-specific treatment guidelines and refinement of microbiological diagnostic procedures.
