Ms Chantal BRITT

Working Group 5 Leader

Communications Officer at Swiss 3R Competence Centre, Switzerland

“A dedicated one health approach and an effective communication strategy to disseminate relevant information to all stakeholders are key to impacting veterinary antimicrobial prescription behaviour, tackling resistance and protecting our health in the years to come.”

After graduation from the University of Geneva (MA in translation) Chantal learned her ropes as a journalist for more than 15 years at Bloomberg News and the English department of Swissinfo.ch, covering financial markets, the biotechnology industry, technology, research and medicine. She has worked as a communications specialist for the Swiss Group for Clinical Cancer Research (SAKK), Johnson & Johnson, and the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases. She was responsible for publications and communications at ESCMID and ECCMID for more than three years. Since 2018, Chantal is now specialised in science communications at the Swiss 3R Competence Centre (3RCC), the Swiss Centre for Applied Human Toxicology (SCAHT) and Swiss Laboratory Animal Science Association (SGV). Chantal’s goal is to help researchers explain their work and share their passion. Her favourite topics are animal research, antimicrobial resistance, pesticides, risk perception of health hazards, nuclear energy, one health, quality of life in oncology, transparency in research, publication bias, lobbying, public health policy, and more recently Long Covid.
